I had to share...

something I saw today on Oprah. Kris Carr, "Crazy Sexy Cancer" was on today and she said something I want to share with the world, well, the world wide web. All of us are going to die, people with cancer just have more information, we need to live each day to the fullest. Make the most out of everyday! These words really spoke to me, I hope they spoke to you too.

and there's a picture of me when I had no hair on chemo...

I think you definitly had a nice noggin' with no hair! Congrats on having the courage to post this. My Mom was diagnosed w/ breat cancer at 37. Now that I'm almost 34, I find it hard to really comprehend just what all she was going through. I just remember being scared that I was going to lose my Mom, but also being in denial & so caught up in my teenage world. I live with a horrible fear that I, too, will be diagnosed w/ some form of "C" word. Just last week, I learned that a coworker is also a cancer survivor but you'd NEVER know it. This is the 1st time I've read your blog, and it just so happened to be THIS post w/ your picture on it?!? Coinensidence, I think not. I vow to get my first mammogram this summer some time-at least before school starts back.

What a wonderful, inspiring post!

I have a song for you to put on your ipod that I think you'll like. I listen to it when I'm running and it inspires me.

It's by the GREAT...THE ONE AND ONLY, Dolly Parton. It's called, "Get to Livin'"

I LOVE IT and now I'll think of you and your new motto whenever I hear it!
